Description

The STA Level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching - People with Disabilities is for those wanting to work with individuals who have additional needs or a disability.  On this course you will learn how to plan and deliver fun, and engaging classes that are suited to a range of individuals and needs. This course will teach you the essential holds to support learners, the use of a variety of aids and equipment, how to adapt swimming strokes, and how to help learners progress. You will also cover health and safety, communication, safeguarding, motivation and feedback, how to effectively plan and deliver classes to a range of abilities.

Course length: 3 days.

Course cost: £425

Prerequisites

Learners must be at least 18 years old and hold the Safety Award for Teachers qualification or acceptable equivalent, as well as the Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults online learning certificate or acceptable equivalent.
