1. Statement by DLL
This learning is part of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd's commitment to the continuous development of our employees. DLL recognises that on completion, your professional value and subsequent opportunity will increase and as such we need to secure a return on our investment.
Managers will allow and support employees in attending the requirements of the learning. This can be to attend the required sessions forming part of the learning, e.g. college or training days.
2. Statement by Employee
I confirm that I wish to undertake this course/learning which will be supported by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd. I understand that I will need to adhere to the terms of this agreement as set out below:
Attend all arranged sessions forming part of the learning by the learning provider. I will advise the learning provider/trainer of any non-attendance and will discuss next steps as soon as possible.
Complete all the relevant work associated with the learning in the stated timescales. Failure to complete the learning including assignments, work assessments or exams may result in the Company requiring the refund of all or part of the cost of the learning.
Keep my manager and the learning provider informed of progress during the learning as required, and hereby agree to the disclosure in writing to my manager by the learning provider of any such information requested. This may be any update or report on progress and attendance. The Company may however require the refunding of all or part of the cost of the learning should the employee not show satisfactory progress.
Progression will be dependent on satisfactory progress being made and will not be automatic. If there are any concerns the learning provider and manager will discuss these and agree next steps.
Any requests to withdraw from the learning must be submitted to the manager for consideration, however the Company may require the refunding of all or part of the cost of the learning.
3. Repayment of Courses
Where a course is accredited, there will be a cost associated with this. Therefore, for accredited courses, should the employee decide to leave the employment of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd. whilst undertaking or after completion of the learning, or be dismissed for any reason other than redundancy, the fees paid over the 2 years prior to the leaving date will be reclaimed on a 1/24th sliding, monthly scale, e.g. after 1 year, half the fees would be reclaimed.

4. Attendee Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your place on a course, you must inform your manager as a matter of urgency. Your manager will update the Course Trainer. If your absence from training therefore means you do not have the required qualification/certificate for your job, you may be removed from duties until you obtain this requirement. This may then be classified as unpaid leave from your job unless there are exceptional circumstances preventing you from completing your qualification in time.
5. Course Cancellations and Amendments
Denbighshire Leisure Ltd reserves the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. If this occurs, we will aim to provide adequate notice of cancellation or change to you.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course in the event of insufficient numbers being booked onto the course. In the event of Denbighshire Leisure cancelling or postponing a course, our aim is to inform all attendees a week before the course is due to take place.
