Mae’r cwrs hwn ar gyfer y rhai a gyflogir gan Gyngor Sir Ddinbych yn unig.

Mae’r cwrs hwn yn addas ar gyfer pobl 16+ oed sy’n gofalu am fabanod a phlant mewn unrhyw leoliad proffesiynol ac mae’n ofynnol iddynt gymhwyso mewn cymorth cyntaf, gan gynnwys:

  • au pairs
  • nanis
  • gwarchodwyr plant
  • gweithwyr meithrinfa a chyn-ysgol
  • staff chwaraeon a hamdden
  • arweinwyr crèche
  • unrhyw un sy’n gyfrifol am les plant.

Mae’r cwrs hwn yn cynnwys sut i helpu babi neu blentyn sy’n:

  • anymatebol ac yn anadlu
  • anymatebol a ddim yn anadlu, gan gynnwys sut i ddefnyddio diffibriliwr allanol awtomatig (AED)
  • tagu
  • gwaedu
  • wedi llosgi neu sgaldio
  • gyda gwrthrych yn eu llygaid, clust neu drwyn
  • gyda hypothermia neu flinder gwres
  • gyda salwch neu wres

Mae’r cwrs hwn hefyd yn cynnwys beth i’w wneud os oes rhywun yn cael argyfwng meddygol, gan gynnwys:

  • llid yr ymennydd
  • argyfwng diabetig
  • ffitiau
  • pwl o asthma
  • adwaith alergaidd difrifol (sioc anaffylactig)
  • gydag anaf i’r asgwrn, cyhyr neu gymal (gan gynnwys anafiadau asgwrn cefn)
  • gydag anaf i’r pen
  • wedi llyncu rhywbeth niweidiol

Darperir Cymorth Cyntaf Pediatreg mewn dosbarth gyda dysgu ymarferol. Mae’r cwrs wedi’i ledaenu dros 2 ddiwrnod.

This course is for those employed by Denbighshire County Council only.

This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who care for babies and children in any professional setting and are required to be qualified in first aid, including:

  • au pairs
  • nannies
  • childminders
  • nursery and pre-school workers
  • sport and leisure staff
  • crèche leaders
  • anyone responsible for the welfare of children.

This course covers how to help a baby or child who:

  • is unresponsive and breathing
  • is unresponsive and not breathing, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • is choking
  • is bleeding
  • is burnt or has a scald
  • has an object in their eye, ear or nose
  • has hypothermia or heat exhaustion
  • has sickness or a fever

This course also covers what do if someone is having a medical emergency, including:

  • meningitis
  • diabetic emergency
  • seizures
  • asthma attack
  • severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock)
  • has an injury to a bone muscle or joint (including spinal injuries)
  • has a head injury
  • has swallowed something harmful

Paediatric First Aid at Work is delivered in a classroom setting with hands on learning. The full course is spread over 2 days.
