DLL 2 Day First Aid Renewal

This course is for those employed by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd only.

The First Aid at Work course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with situations where someone needs first aid in a real life emergency situation. After this course, you'll develop the first aid skills and confidence to help someone who:

• is unresponsive and breathing
• is unresponsive and not breathing, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• is choking
• is bleeding
• is suffering from shock
• has burns
• has a head injury
• has hypothermia or heat exhaustion
• has an injury to a bone, muscle or joint (including spinal injuries).

Learners will also be able to help a casualty who is having a;  seizure, heart attack, stroke, asthma attack, severe allergic reaction, diabetic emergency.

First Aid at Work is delivered in a classroom setting with hands on learning. The full course is spread over 3 days, whilst the refresher / renewal course is conducted over 2.
